Abridged summary of my recent YouTube videos showing MAME related emulation progress

There might not have been a MAME release for November, but I’ve continued to upload videos to my YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/mamehaze I’d appreciate it if people could subscribe to the channel and enable notifications, as it really helps spread the word with regards to what we’ve been doing.
The videos uploaded recently are a mix of current progress, and things from earlier in the year that didn’t really get much attention. I’ll highlight a few recent ones and talk here a little about them
-------
Quartet / Quartet 2 protection fix - https://youtu.be/jVnMmx4FNqQ
This Sega 80s classic has been emulated incorrectly for the entire history of the MAME project. From level 15 onwards the game makes use of the protection MCU to animate some doors and platforms in the levels. The old protection simulation didn’t handle these, and the MCU hookup, once the MCU had been dumped, was left incomplete and not being allowed to access the TileRAM in order to render the platforms. This has been fixed in the next MAME release, previously the only set that rendered these at all was a single unprotected set of the cost-reduced Quartet 2.
-------
Black Touch II (Korean game created from 'Shanghai II' code) - https://youtu.be/BQv8-kmmsmg
Korean ‘original’ games were often created by hacking other games. Black Touch II is no exception, and is a hack of Shanghai II. This is the 3rd Black Touch game to be supported in MAME, with the original Black Touch being a hack of one of the Dynax Tile Matching games, and Black Touch ‘96 being a terrible (but original) Beat ‘em Up title. While getting this supported isn’t too interesting from a gameplay perspective, it is important in documenting and preserving the history of Korean arcades, many of which were exported to European markets (which is where this one was found)
-------
Break Ball (Arcade Pinball) - https://youtu.be/XQKCpOoZq8A
This was added some releases back by an anonymous contributor. It’s an arcade Pinball game running on Bellfruit’s “Cobra” hardware. It was developed by Attention To Detail, and published by Bellfruit. Unlike most games running on Bellfruit hardware this is a pure video game with no gambling elements. There are multiple tables accessible via the exit on the starting one with a variety of things to do in each table. The novelty here is you can also move the flippers left and right.
-------
Merry Circus (Video Slots) - https://youtu.be/mJxCpOBn3eg
I did the emulation of the Amcoe video slot platform around a decade ago now, but some games were not fully dumped at the time. Merry Circus was one of those, with a dump finally showing up earlier in the year, when it was added to little fanfare. It’s a 25-line video slot game, so you get what you see really. There are still a few of these with incomplete dumps, or known missing revisions, and while they’re not too exciting on their own, it’s another step towards them all being properly represented
-------
Sudoku Games TV Games
https://youtu.be/Rh104jmfXFs - New York Times Sudoku
https://youtu.be/jJEdEIl0jZo - 6-in-1 Sudoku
https://youtu.be/XkkgGxBDLd8 - Sudoku Plug & Play
https://youtu.be/UH5Qt7lhxsQ - Zudo-go / 2udo-go
One thing I have noticed while doing these Plug and Play TV Games is just how many Sudoku ones there were. It seems like the popularity of Plug and Plays coincided with the popularity of Sudoku, so it often ended up being the primary selling point, even in units with many more bonus games. Seeing how there were both dedicated units with controls specifically designed for Sudoku, and multi-game units where the Sudoku game was played with a regular pad is interesting.
-------
JungleTac’s SunPlus games – Lexibook units
https://youtu.be/dkKAyehyJsE Lexibook JG7410 100-in-1
https://youtu.be/KI0-jTHB9zo Lexibook JG7415 120-in-1
The 120 in 1 version of this, which is the most complete collection of these has been emulated for a while, the 100 in 1 version, which is just the same but with 20 fewer games was recently dumped. I noticed that at no point had I done a video covering all the games from these units, so that’s what these videos are about. The 100-in-1 video is long, while the 120-in-1 video just covers the additional 20 games found on that unit. Together this is almost 4 hours of footage so recording it was a considerable time investment.
-------
Code Lyoko 25-in-1 Handheld - https://youtu.be/fxbDi7Dedsk
This is an unusual one, it takes the 25 of games found in the Family Sport Plug and Play / Handheld units that were developed by Senca, and rethemes 5 of them with Code Lyoko skins. While it’s common to see the Jungletac games from the previous unit rethemed, this is the first time we’ve seen the Family Sport ones with a new coat of paint.
-------
Plug 'n' Play Rockstar Guitar (alt songs) - https://youtu.be/hhSBhxRaUHA
These Plug ‘n’ Play guitars came with a variety of presentation styles and song selections. This is the version that contains Manic Street Preachers “Your Love Alone Is Not Enough” and uses the 2D style presentation rather the ‘into the screen’ highway more associated with Guitar Hero. This is my preferred song selection, and preferred presentation style, so I’m happy this one was dumped, even if I’m terrible at all of these things.
-------
Arcade 10-in-1 handheld - https://youtu.be/Tr_4D1Npe4c
These low-resolution handhelds have been sold in different forms as stocking fillers for the past decade, and appear to be based on a variety of different technologies. I showed some footage of these a few months back, but the code to allow them to run in MAME was merged so this will be supported in the next release. There’s no sound, and it still has a NOT WORKING tag, but it should be playable. This specific 10-in-1 unit seems illogical from a sales point of view, as it’s a cut down version of the 150-in-1 units. With the 150-in-1 units you were getting quantity over quality, so could usually find something to keep you busy for half an hour. With the 10-in-1 units you’re getting neither quantity nor quality and many of the more interesting games are missing. The video covers all of them, and also an amusing ‘out of bounds’ glitch you can perform in the snake game.
-------
ABL Pinball Plug and Play - https://youtu.be/skngmM9GJ34
This is another NES VT derived Plug and Play that I forgot to give any coverage to when I emulated it earlier in the year, and like Break Ball it seemed to slip completely under the radar. It actually seems to be an elaborate hack of the Famicom “Family Pinball” game, but with a new menu system and all references to Pac-Man / Namco removed. Cheeky.
-------
Tele Story (unfinished work-in-progress)
https://youtu.be/gZljMqa2Fts Winnie the Pooh Tele Story
https://youtu.be/MjE9UhR1m0E Dora The Explorer Tele Story
https://youtu.be/CJ5RU79mXSs Dora The Explorer Tele Story (Spanish version)
This is progress from earlier in the year, that was never finished, because I got stuck trying to figure out the audio decoding on the speech. These require a debug hack to boot in MAME, but I wanted to make videos of them so that people can see the state of them as we leave 2020. I’m tempted to upload more of these.
-------
GPL16250 progress (unfinished work in progress)
https://youtu.be/Z2ieRKa9LD0 (compilation video of many JAKKS Pacific Plug and Plays using the tech)
https://youtu.be/b9HJ3PZ7Z6o (Beijue 16-bit handheld 220 in 1)
The GPL16250 is the step after the tech used by most of the emulated SunPlus games; it offered higher resolution, more layers, better blending, and sprite zooming / distortion. Sometimes things running on the older tech got ported to this too, as was the case for some of these handhelds. Progress stalled on these as a combination of CPU bugs and video hardware not being fully understood combined to halt any meaningful progress with many games not booting. Also a lot of games using this tech use custom motion controls and the like, or have complex NAND detection and loading routines to further complicate things. Much like the Telestory, I felt it would be a good idea to make this video to show where we are as we leave 2020.
-------
Chess Computers - Mini Sensory Chess Challenger (1982 version)
https://youtu.be/AWqPCY5Lhng
MAME has done a lot for the emulation of Electronic Chess Computers over the year, mainly from developer ‘hap’ These are non-video units, but MAME simulates the physical boards using the artwork system and some scripts. Emulating things that don’t have a traditional video output is a big part of what MAME does these days, and seeing these done really is up there with things like the Game & Watch emulation.
-------
I’ve also been using my website as a ‘screenshot dump’ for newly emulated systems, see https://mamedev.emulab.it/haze/2020-fully-embracing-the-new-vision/ although at this point in time I consider the website to be a secondary way of reporting progress; most of what I do is going to end up on YouTube or Twitter first, so as I mentioned at the start, if you want to have a steady flow of videos from things we’re doing, or have done (and maybe some extra MAME / emulation related content) then please hit subscribe on YouTube.

Triple icaru min stat requirement ( math )

Triple icaru min stat requirement ( math )
Hey, I'm not native english speaker. This thread was made to know what is the minimum stat requirement for the triple icaru db12. In order to find this i simulate boss fight. Just keep in mind that its a simulation, even tho i tried to be as close as possible from the game.
I'm not the original creator of this strategy all credit go to [ tigiriori ] and [this video] where he translated it.
This team should probably be done after bj5, or at least after a classic r5 team since verde requirement is close to a li'l bale, and icaru without grind (even blue one) are hard to rune too.
I've tried to source everything!
TLDR: This image,

Quick guide about the strategy

You should watch the translated video about the guide To understand the strategy but in the case you are too lazy :
Tricaru strategy is a team with 3 2a icaru and one verde.
Icaru have a co-op that can pull up to 3 teammate when he have enought def, and verde boost atk bar by 40% each turn.
Inu have perfect IA and will always use co-op when ready. And monster have 1 less turn cd when taken to co-op so all icaru will have co-op always ready. Thanks to this, this team have no rng and will always gain 160% atb per cycle (inu 1 co-op + inu 2 co-op + inu3 co-op)
In order to win you will need to have a lot of dmg on verde since he is the only dmg dealer of the team.

Why should i build tricaru

Tricaru have 100% consistency and very fast clear. with only 4 monster to runes,
Work for multiple dungeon: Toa, db12, nb12, pc10, (gb12) even tho it was originaly design for db12.

Introduction about my work

I want this post to have all sources, about tricaru. Find min requirement for this team in db12.
In order to find min requirement for tricaru, iv'e looked up for any tricaru post on reddit, yt and look for the stats. Plus tried to do a simulation of the fight.
Source that i've used for my simulation: [team up] [counter atk] [db12 stats] [B12 unit info] [accuracy guide] [1] [2] [3] [dmg formula] [tower]

Getting icaru's requirement[1]

Def requirement :
In order to co-op with 3 monsters icaru need 3001 total def[1]. You can look This Table if you want to know what defence you should aim depending on determination set, guild lvl and def tower.
Accuracy requirement :
You should have at least 30 acc on all icaru, up to 65 (max for db12).
Accuracy don't matter too much for boss, but having consistent break def for waves greatly reduce time.
Spd requirement :
  • The first and 2nd icaru need at least 169 spd in odrer to outspd wave ( it's also important on the 2nd one since it happen quite often that icaru 1 don't have co-op)
  • All icaru need to be faster than verde. To have more chance for break def.
  • Keep in mind that the more spd you have, the more turn you have, so other requirement go lower.
You can refer to This table that show bare min spd to reach a turn order for boss.
General tips for rune:
  • in order to reach 3301 def you probably need def% in slot 2/4/6, some guard set, def artifact and some def% sub. You should look for accuracy, spd, def% or def flat subs.
  • Guard, determination and fight set, are best set for icaru's. (focus, and accuracy set work too)
  • Just don't put violent, it would break the cycle.
General tips for artifact:
Those subs are the only usefull sub for icaru :
  • Skill 1 accuracy
  • Damage Dealt by Attacking Together+N%
  • Increase ATK Effect +N%
  • Additional Damage by +N% of [def/hp/spd/atk]
  • [Skill 1/2] CRIT DMG +N%
Other info:
  • Icaru don't need to be skilled up for a first team.
  • You shouldn't focus dmg for icaru, at least for a first team.

Source for def part: [this post]
Source for spd part : [1] [2]

Getting verde requirement[1]

Ehp requirement:
Verde require 81K ehp after tower, and guild bonus ( and determination set), in order to tank on hit, when boss crit <30%, with bad dmg RNG.
On nb12, and cb10, verde require more ehp.
Spd requirement:
For verde spd refer to the icaru's part and spd table, but would never need above +21 spd ( with max tower) and should always be the slowest in your team.
Verde's dmg:
  • Verde need to have 100% crit rate
  • He seem to require at least 3500 dmg per hit with skill 1 on db12 break def. Which is about +1827 atk, 175cd, (with tower, and without any artifact bonus).
  • If you use swop try This, since swop count dmg per hit, look for at least 3500 dmg.
General tips for rune:
  • In order to reach those stats, rage/ blade/ or fatal set should help you
  • any determination set, fight set on icaru's will reduce verde's requirement.
  • You should try to avoid violent since it would mean less stats and more animation/rng, so overall slower run.
General tips for artifact:
About artifact there is not a lot of substats that are usefull:
  • [Skill 1/2] CRIT DMG +N% (with skill 1 being more usefull than skill 2)
  • Damage Dealt by Attacking Together+N%
  • Additional Damage by +N% of [atk/def/hp/spd]
Some other sub that might be usefull: Damage Dealt on Fire +N%, life drain.
Other info:
You should try to skill him up, since he is your main damage dealer and there is 2 vampire fusion, so it's not that hard.

FINDING TEAM STATS

In order to test your team i've done a personal simulation:
[personnal simulation] (pls don't send me email to edit it, just download it)
You can look in this part source, it's most post/yt video of tricaru team. You can see what you should aim for.
Source that's i've used to comfirm and run more accurate simmulation(Reddit): [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [tricaru withoutdef tower][9][10] [This team]

FIRE GARGOYLE

tl:dr: Looks like a good idea but meh, actualy increase requirement.
Why take [Fire gargoyle]
  • If your turn ends with 70% or higher HP, you will be turned into a statue until the next turn starts. The damage dealt on allies will be reduced gradually if the ally gets attacked with multiple hits when you are turned into a statue. [Automatic Effect]
  • While you are a statue, you won't be able to move. But you will gain immunity against inability effects, receive 30% less damage and recover your HP by 10% until the statue state is gone.
Seem like a good idea since you can't bring a 5th monster because it would messed up with co-op.
The idea with the gargoyle is tu put her in full determination set to lower def requirement on the icaru, AND this is the only reason why you would put her since she increase every other requirement for the team to work.
This mean that if the gargoyle is above 70%, and move first she won't messed up with the team.
2 Major issue:
  • She NEED to be above 70% hp all the time meanning that on first boss turn she need to be tanky enought, let's say you've manage make her tanky enought. (it's not possible to have her os constantly on first boss hit, because of her 30% dmg reduction, base stats, (even non awake lvl 30), and determination set )
  • She NEED to play first so she's don't co-op, but icaru have 108 base spd, while gargoyle have 93, and icaru are kinda fast (+84 spd).
Because she play at the start of every cycle, don't do dmg and don't co-op (no +40% atb from verde), you will have less atk on boss, you would need more spd for same number of turn.
So it increase all other requirement (spd, atk) for 3*8% def... Plus she would need some strong determination set rune (+110 spd [messy table that need an update], and tanky enought to have +70% hp after boss turn, i mean those rune would work on icaru probably haha), kinda high requirement for a trash unit..

What about skin

tl:dr : mech skin on icaru and halloween skin on verde, each one is few sec per run.
Skins change animation speed of each spell, this way (since in this team we have lot of time same animation) we can gain 5-8 sec per run by running skins on monster.
Other things to know when you do co-op dmg is in order of animation time. This way if someone make a break def other monster with slower animation will atk on break def.
About the icaru's mecha skin: thanks to this skin when icaru co-op, other's icaru will put b def between first and 2nd verde atk. ( with other skin he hit both time before break def), this way you can gain 1 hit of verde b def with co-op, may help you os crystal in wave.
If you run icaru with dmg, put the one with most dmg with base skin while those with more acc have mecha skin, so strong icaru will hit on b def.
About verde skin:
  • both halloween and street troublemaker have faster skill 1 and skill 2 than original skin
  • For skill 1 halloween have a slower first hit and a slower (by like 1 frame) 2nd hit than street troublemaker.
  • skill 2 seem to be faster on halloween one.
Since skin 1 is about the same spd and skill 2 is faster on halloween, halloween seem better. (look for source to have more info), using either troublemaker or halloween will help you for few sec per run too.

How to speed up

Well once you have your first icaru team working. You have few way to improve the team.
  • Add determination accuracy or fight set on icaru's, the best set is fight set on icaru to have even stronger verde.
  • add atk/cd on at least 1 icaru, and play with icaru's skin to os cristal in wave and faster run
  • add acc on icaru's to have more consistent run
The major way to gain time are:
  • kill the boss before he play/ before immu tower play, to greatly reduce number of turn, if you manage to always kill the boss before he play verde ehp doesn't matter
  • Os cristal in wave (at least little one and big one latter)
  • Buy skins
  • reduce team spd to increase dmg/acc on your monster and have less turn. (less animation so less time)
You can also play this team on nb12 and cb10 with strong verde ( need more ehp and atk), those 2 dongeon would need lot more explanation. ([nb12 is 25 sec with tricaru] ...)
Source: [guide about fight set tricaru]

DOUBLE VERDE, lapis, string master... and why it doesn't work

tl:dr why would you want to play with 5 ppl when it work with 4 .....
Some people asked if lapis would work instead of verde, it wouldn't lapis have too much rng with her atb reduction to be constisant.
Can i remplace the gargoyle by string master:
No string master don't always have song up, so it woulnd't be as consistant as with gargoyle.
Can i add a 2nd verde to lower requirement?
By putting a 2nd verde you add a lot of rng, if inu start to co-op with both verde cycle will start to fall appart, putting 2 verde add more requirement to the team and more rng.
Can i add a 4th icaru to the team:
First WHY it work with 3 and they are already a pain to rune, then no because if icaru only co-op with others icaru then they won't do dmg or take 40% atb from verde so you will "lose" one tick

Nb 12 Tricaru (work in progress)

In order to have tricaru that work in nb12 you will need more ehp on verde, from the source bellow is about 93K ehp, in order to survive retreave verde from stealing (with low hp) into boss hit.
I would recommend to have 120 combat speed at least on everyone to have max turn possible on boss too. (with verde's lead you don't need any extra spd tho)
If you have fail with tricaru + verde, try tricaru + verde + raoq 2a.
In order to speed up in nb12 you could build other unit instead of verde, [astar] seem to be the best unit to speed up, with same requirement than verde but with a vampire set, You can look for [this video] or [this one, that seem to be the ultimate nb12 team], [same in french]. THOSE ARE EXTREMLY LATE GAME TEAM, i'm just showing here what you should aim for, and sourcing what exist.
Source for this part:[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

Pc10 tricaru (work in progress)

For pc10, you should aim for about 93K ehp too on verde, the aim is to survive boss mono hit on verde, and focus tower (left then right) before boss.
If you have fail with tricaru + verde, try tricaru + verde + raoq 2a.

Ego Casino games and software

Ego Casino might be a new casino, but you wouldn’t be able to tell if you were to look exclusively at the games it offers. That’s because the list of software developers that were chosen to power their collection is extensive and includes the biggest names in the industry. Here, you will find more than 2000 games supplied by respectable developers such as Microgaming Quickfire, Quickspin, Blueprint, Big Time Gaming, Pragmatic Play, ELK, 1x2 Gaming, Lighting Box, Thunderkick.
The next step is to choose a game that meets your expectations and this is where slots fans can consider themselves lucky. There are so many more games dedicated to this genre that you won’t have the time to get bored with what it has to offer. Gold Money Frog, 88 Fortune Cats, Andar Bahar, Polar Paws, Wildhound Derby, Buffalo Ruler and many other popular slots can be found here. These represent just the tip of the iceberg and scrolling down the list will reveal more than 1000 other similar games.
Progressive jackpot slots are relatively few, at least if we are to compare them with the bulk of games belonging to this genre. The selection of video pokers and scratch cards is even smaller, but once again the casino has checked all the important boxes. If you’re in the market for diversity, then make sure you explore the general section and don’t forget about the tournaments and TV games. All of them can be tried for free, so make the most of the demo accounts to get familiar with their gaming options.
Sooner or later, players will surely turn their attention to table games and the live Ego Casino casino section. Dominated by roulette, blackjack and baccarat, this category also features many more games popular in brick-and-mortar casinos. Dice and a nice variety of card games are guaranteed to spice things up for those who want to compete against real dealers. This part of the casino is powered by Evolution Gaming and Ezugi, which are the biggest names in live online dealer action.

Other promotions and offers at Ego Casino

We have dedicated ample coverage to the welcome bonus in our Ego Casino review, but we definitely want to talk about their promotions as well. The weekly 50% VIP bonus is an amazing way to consolidate your bankroll by depositing at least €300. The maximum bonus goes as high up as €700 and it is subject to 40 times wagering requirements. You will be able to withdraw up to €1000 if you contact customer support over live chat and use the Promo Code VIP50EGO after making the deposit.
The Twilight bonus is another promotion that will trigger a 50% bonus on deposits made between midnight and 4 AM GMT. You only have to deposit at least €30 and once again, contact customer support to request the bonus using the T-LIGHT50 promotional code. Bets in excess of €10 are prohibited and no matter how lucky you are you won’t be able to withdraw more than €1000.
The Morning Up Bonus is a virtually identical offer, with the only distinction being that deposits are matched between 4 AM and 8 AM GMT. In addition to the 50% match deposit bonus up to €1000, players will also collect a cool bundle of 20 free spins. Any winnings that might result, as well as the bonus itself need to be played no less than 40 times and the correct code is M-UP50.
The Upgraded Weekend bonus will only match deposits by 40% up to €500 for investments of at least €30. This offer can’t be combined with other promotions, but it will surely boost your bankroll over the weekend. The Weekly Cashback deal covers the other days of the week, by reimbursing losses by 15% for those who have attained Veteran status or higher with amounts ranging from €15-€1000. Activation is needed over live chat and players who are still on a lower VIP level will only qualify for a 10% cashback.
The Ego Casino review would be incomplete without discussing the payment methods and accepted currencies. You will be able to withdraw your winnings via WebMoney, Ecopayz, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Skrill, Paysafecard, Neteller, Poli and Trusly. Deposits can also be made using these banking options and the casino recommends players to use the same financial instrument for both transactions. It is also possible to deposit, wager and cash out winnings in Bitcoin, while qualifying for the bonuses.
Deposits are performed instantly and the waiting time on withdrawals will not exceed three business days. E- wallets are significantly faster, with transactions being processed within 24 hours, excluding the pending period weekend withdrawals are accepted and you can cash out a maximum of €1500 per day, €3000 per week or €9000 per month. As for the currencies supported, Euro, Polish zloty, Swedish krona, Russian ruble are all featured.

Conclusion

Ego Casino casino impressed us with its ability to quickly close the gap separating it from the leading pack. For a gambling operator founded in 2020, this casino is clean, elegant and checks all the important boxes that modern punters take for granted. They’ve got an amazing collection of games, supplied by all the important software developers, as well as a few niche providers. As for the bonuses and promotions, there are head and shoulders above the industry average and know how to make players feel right at home

All known info about CC: Remastered Edition - IF YOU GOT QUESTIONS CHECK THIS TOPIC FIRST!!!

UPDATED ON 08/31/2020

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition

Release date: 08/27/2020 (worldwide) Release Trailer
Platforms: PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android
Price:
The PlayStation Store pre-orders will include a special PlayStation 4 theme featuring artwork and music from the original game. For now you can NOT get this theme unless you pre-ordered!
Japanese Box art: PS4 - Switch
Official Website:
The PS4 and Switch versions only have a physical edition in Japan. Two warnings if you are planning on importing:
1) The game will be completely in Japanese with no English option.
2) The game is region locked! This mean that even if your PSN/Switch account is from the region that you want to play with, it will still check the game region and match you with those people. This eliminates the chance for players with different game regions to play together unless Square Enix engineers some work-around. Read further ahead for complete clarification!!!
There is also a light version of the game for iOS/Android & PS4/Switch. This version can be downloaded and played for free TO A CERTAIN EXTENT:
1) Single play up to the end of the first in-game year (three dungeons). Online multiplay for up to four players up to the end of the first in-game year (three dungeons) along other free version players and full game owners. Cross-platform functionality lets you form parties with players across different platforms.
2) You can join up with people who have the full version of the game and play up to 13 dungeons, this way you are not limited to just the first 3. You wont get any "end of year" celebrations this way. Your chalice simply reverts back to 2/3rds full. The game also mentions you can't get more than 2 drops of myrrh.
3) WARNING: Lite players can't craft master's weapons, and it seems like Lite players miss out on all craft-able accessories, if being unable to craft the flame/frost/thunder craft's is any indication. The crafters don't even list them as options. So for a casual play-trough this is not a problem. But if you plan on playing like years 8-9 and so on it's best that you just buy the game.

Features confirmed for the Remastered Edition:
Bonus questions:
To clarify further; GAME REGION ≠ ACCOUNT REGION
The region is locked to the GAME. NOT your ACCOUNT!!! So if you want to play together with someone from across the world get the GAME from the same region. So visit the same PSN/Switch store region to buy the game. Or import the game both from Japan (warning Japanese text if importing). So you're PSN/Switch account region has zero influence when booting the game, but it is important when buying the game.

GLITCH WARNING!!!:
MAKE BACKUP SAVES OF YOUR GAMES! There is a glitch that can lock you permanently in Tipa Peninsula on Year 2. This may not be the only glitch that could ruin your save file. You have 4 save slots, so make at least 1 copy.
The glitch: After beating Goblin Wall online and changing their chalice to Fire, Goblin Wall disappeared and their chalice was reverted to Water. The miasma stream element was fire, locking them in Tipa Peninsula. They tried visiting all of the area's locations and beating River Belle Pass, online and offline, and restarting the software. Goblin Wall did not return, nor was there any in-game record they'd beaten it.
The fix: None. Do not play Goblin Wall online on Year 2. Beat it solo. If you have already beaten it solo you are safe to host it online past year 2.
What probably causes the glitch:
  1. The host must be on year 2 and disconnect and rejoin during the ready up phase before the dungeon begins.
  2. The second player must be on year 1 (in this case they were playing the lite version). For charity sake there were 3 players and 2 & 3 were both on the lite version.
  3. No player received moogle mail on the first clear, meaning that I was not the host at the end of the dungeon.
  4. The chalice reset to water, but we theorize it might have given the host to player 2 who does not have year 2 or goblin wall available. So it inherited? Their chalice I don't know. 5. This occurred again when rejoining mid dungeon with player 2 being a lite player.

How to Level Up Fast with Go Beyond Exp Bonus Chart

How to Level Up Fast with Go Beyond Exp Bonus Chart

https://preview.redd.it/cqgbxtoh3la61.jpg?width=1489&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2844e12957d36aa701472780423b3a1e2592036d

FASTEST ways to Level Up

Throw 100% Excellent Curve Balls + Quick Catch enabled (skips catch animation)
This requires you to use modified apps in order to make easy excellent curve ball throws without waiting for the perfect timing. These apps below carry a Medium Strike Risk, which can you read more about in this All About Three-Strike System: Red Warning, Temporary Ban, & Permanent Ban 2021 post.
  • No Lucky Egg: 1,170 EXP per catch
  • With Lucky Egg: 2,340 EXP per catch
  • With Lucky Egg + 2x Catch EXP bonus event: 4,680 EXP per catch
  • No Root method by using PGSharp.
    • Enhanced Throw is free but Quick Catch requires money.
  • Rooted method by using Pokemod.
    • Enhanced Throw and Quick Catch are free.
  • Rooted method by using Enhancer.
    • Enhanced Throw and Quick Catch costs money.
Hop on the 5 Star Raid Train
This is a lot of exp but is the most expensive because you need a lot of raid passes. You do the 5 Star raids only and do not catch the legendary Pokemon because you want to do the most amount of raids per lucky egg. This is best done during Legendary Hour or 2x Raid bonus event. After you do the raid battle, you check the IV Chart, you flee, and do the next raid without waiting a cooldown. If you throw or drop the Premier Ball, you must wait a cooldown.
  • No Lucky Egg: 10.000 EXP per raid
  • With Lucky Egg: 20.000 EXP per raid
  • With Lucky Egg + 2x Raid bonus event: 40.000 EXP per raid

FAST ways to level up

These are not the fastest but do not require the use of a modified app. You still need a rooted spoofing method like Smali Patcher, Systemized, or Taichi (dead) for these. A Gotcha or Gotcha Evolve is recommended but Go Plus or Pokeball Plus can still be used. You can read more about Gotcha devices and find the GPX Route download links in GPX Route Downloads [Nov 2020] post.
Evolve Pokemon:
Catch Pidgey, Weedle, Caterpie, Wurmple, and Whismur using Poke Maps then save them up for an event that gives 2x Evolve Bonus Exp. These Pokemon require 12 candies for 2nd evolution and 50 candies for 3rd evolution to evolve. Other Pokemon that are not listed here require 25 candies and 100 candies to evolve.
  • No Lucky Egg: 1,000 EXP per evolve
  • With Lucky Egg: 2,000 EXP per evolve
  • With Lucky Egg + 2x Evolve Bonus Event: 4,000 EXP per evolve
  • If you evolve a Pidgey > Pidgeotto > Pidgeot, you get 2,000 EXP, 4,000 EXP, or 8,000 EXP according to the scale.
  • Requires you to have 1,000+ Pokemon slots.
  • Since you are not using a modified app, you have to watch the evolve animation.
  • You can also do this one with a modified app that allows you to Skip Evolve Animation. It will be super fast. It takes less than a second per evolve.
  • You can use a macro recorder app to evolve Pokemon without doing it to each Pokemon as shown in How to use a Macro Recorder to Automatically Evolve Pokemon and do Raid Battles post.
Spin new Pokestops at 15 km/h using a Gotcha device with a Big City Routes (GPX Route)
You must spin new Pokestops in an area you never been to. Gotcha or similar device is required because it will automatically spin Pokestops for you. If you try to do this by finger, you will need to close the Pokestop info screen each time. The Gotcha will skip through this for you.
  • NO Lucky Egg: 300 EXP per new Pokestop spin
  • With Lucky Egg: 600 EXP per new Pokestop spin
  • With Lucky Egg + 2x Spin Bonus event: 1,200 EXP per new Pokestop spin
  • Set your Pokemon Go Plus (Gotcha, Go Plus, Dual Catchmon) or Pokeball Plus (Pokeball Plus only) setting in the Pokemon Go Settings to to "Spin Pokestops only."
  • 500 to 3,000 item slots is required because you are going to be throwing away your items as soon as your backpack gets full. If you have less than 500 item slots, your backpack gets full too fast more often, so you have to spend more time throwing away your the items.
  • Walking speed must be at 15 km/h because you want to get the most spins per lucky egg.
Use the Gotcha device to catch Pokemon during Catch Bonus events
Gotcha or similar device is required because it will automatically catch Pokemon for you without making you watch the catch animation. This one requires you to have a lot of Red Pokeballs and has a low catch rate. If you use your finger, you must watch the catch animation every time. This is recommended to be used with a GPX Route.
  • NO Lucky Egg: 100 EXP per catch
  • With Lucky Egg: 200 EXP per catch
  • With Lucky Egg + 2x Catch Bonus event: 400 EXP per catch
  • This requires you to have 1,000+ item and Pokemon slots. The more slots you have, the better it is.
  • If you use PGSharp, Enhance Throw does not work with a Gotcha. I think it is the same with Pokemod and Enhancer but cannot confirm this because I have not used them.

SLOW ways to level up

For this one, anyone can do it. You do not need to use a spoofing method to do this.
Send and Open Gifts to get Best Friends with random people
This is slow because there is no guarantee these people are always going to send you a gift or continue to play the game. This also requires you to keep in touch with people you friend to coordinate when to use a lucky egg before you open your 30th and 90th gift.
  • NO Lucky Egg: 50,000 EXP for Great Friends (30 days) & 100,000 EXP for Best Friends (90 days)
  • With Lucky Egg: 100,000 EXP for Great Friends & 200,000 EXP for Best Friends
Please make sure you read the subreddit's rules and Discord Group's rules because I cannot help you get unbanned. Some of the subreddits below are Anti-Cheating/Anti-Spoofing. Do not tell people you are a spoofer.
Use a Gotcha to catch Pokemon when you are not actively playing the game
You are better off using your Gotcha device to farm Pokemon at a nest or spoofer's hotspot like Zaragoza (see sticky comment for coords). This is better than nothing at all. You can average 50,000 XP and Stardust per day just for using your Gotcha with a GPX Route. You could play with your finger, but you might get bored doing the same thing over and over. You still need to reconnect your Gotcha device every 1 hour.
  • This requires you to have 1,000+ item and Pokemon slots. The more slots you have, the better it is.
Catch Pokemon in AR mode with Expert Handler Bonus
In my opinion, this one is is not worth the effort to go into AR mode to catch the Pokemon and dodge obstacles. It takes too long to get the +300 XP bonus you need. You can read more about it from this How to score the Expert Handler bonus in Pokemon Go website.
  • Camera must be working.
  • AR must be enabled in Pokemon Go settings.
  • Easier on a smartphone than on a tablet.
  • Save up your Nanab Berries (banana) for for this one.

[USA] [H] Nintendo - Games, Consoles, Collectibles; PlayStation - Games & Consoles; Xbox - Games & Accessories; Dreamcast - Games & Accessories; New swap items at the top of the list [W] Chrono Trigger (SNES - CIB or just everything but the game); Pulse Headset (PS5)

Bundles take priority. I'd love to get rid of this stuff.
New Stuff
Switch Lite - Gray. Comes with aftermarket charger & carrying case. No memory card or games. The right stick has a strange issue seen in the video here, I've ordered a new analog stick to replace it with but I believe this could be considered drift and Nintendo would replace it under warranty. Either way, happy to find a good solution. Edit I’ve replaced the right analog stick and it’s working like a charm now.
GameCube bundle - Of the few pickups I've been able to get in on during the last several months, this one is my favorite yet. Comes with a black GameCube with original box (the box is a little beat up), all OEM hookups, a black OEM controller, and the following games: Super Smash Bros. Melee (CIB), Mario Party 4 (CIB), Mario Kart Double Dash (disc & case - the case is the bonus disc holder but doesn't actually include the disc or any manuals/inserts), Timesplitters 2 (CIB), Avatar (CIB), Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron (CIB), Hunter: The Reckoning (loose) and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (CIB, however the disc isn't reading in this console. I'm going to try a couple other ones and see if I can bring it back to life. It looks like it's in perfect shape, so I have no idea what the problem could be). Edit Twilight Princess worked in both Wii’s I tried it in as well as 3/4 of my personal gamecube consoles. While it seems like there’s an issue that makes it takes a stronger laser to read it, it works as shown here.
I also have a loose Pokemon Emerald. It's authentic, I've soldered in a new battery as well. The label isn't great, though. Pics here
I picked up a red GBA SP - AGS-001. Works just fine, scratched up a bit on the outside shell, comes with aftermarket wall charger. Also came with a bunch of loose GBA games: Zelda: A Link to the Past/4 Swords Adventures; Namco Museum; Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team; Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories; Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy; Sonic Advance 3; Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith. Same pickup I got a crimson & black DS Lite that needs a new inner top housing to keep it from flapping about. Still works great, but that's the common fatal problem with these consoles. I've ordered a new shell for it and am planning to re-house it, but if you're interested as-is, just let me know.
Nintendo Collectibles
Title Condition Notes
Paper Mario: The Origami King Origami Set Sealed They are these ones
Super Mario 3D All-Stars Poster Set New They are these ones
Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Pin Set #1 Sealed They are these ones
Super Mario Zipper Case New It's this one
Nintendo Switch
Title Condition Notes
Console Switch Lite Used Gray console, very nice shape. Includes aftermarket charging brick and carrying case, as well as a spare screen protector. No memory card or games included. The right stick has a strange issue seen in the video here, I've ordered a new analog stick to replace it with but I believe this could be considered drift and Nintendo would replace it under warranty. Either way, happy to find a good solution. Edit I’ve replaced the right analog stick and it’s working like a charm now.
Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & The Secret Hideout Sealed Picked up an extra copy to keep sealed during the recent restocks. Figure if someone else will open & play it, might be a good token to trade.
Ys VIII Cart & Case Only Adventurer's Edition, however it doesn't have any of the inserts. Just the case and the cartridge.
Nintendo Wii/U
Title Condition Notes
Console WiiU Used Black 32GB console. Very nice shape. Includes the OEM power supply & sensor bar, gamepad (in excellent condition -- no stylus or original charging brick, but it will come with a USB-to-gamepad cable. It doesn't work nearly as well at charging the gamepad, I'd recommend picking up an OEM charging brick/cradle if you don't already have one).
Console Wii RVL-101 Used Black console. Later model that doesn't have GC controller ports or back compatibility. Comes with all OEM hookups. Tested & works great. I'm happy to softmod it too, if you'd like.
WiiMote Accessory 3 OEM Wiimotes - 2 white (one original, one with Motion+ built in), and one black (has Motion+ built in). The two white Wiimotes have wrist straps, and each seems to have at least some minor little puppy bite marks (?). One of the white ones has a silicone sleeve, and the non-M+ one has a black silicone sleeve with the M+ adapter. They're all tested and work great.
Birthday Party Bash Loose Tested, reads at least past the title screen. Can't say I've done any more birthday party bashing after that.
Just Dance 3 (Wii) CIB Nice shape
Just Dance 4 CIB Nice shape
Just Dance 2016 CIB Nice shape
Nintendo (3)DS
Title Condition Notes
Console Black DS Lite Used Nice overall condition, bottom screen has some scratches that I've tried to capture in the pictures. Comes with OEM charger. Pics
Console Black DS Lite Used Excellent overall condition. Tested & working. Doesn't have the GBA slot cover, but does include a stylus and aftermarket charger. Pending swap
Console Zelda Edition DS Lite Refurbished Nice overall condition, the top hinge was cracked so I had to replace the top housing, but everything else is original. I'll include the original top housing if you want it, too. Pics
Console Parts DS Lite FPNW This is a bag of leftovers from a couple of housing swaps. Bad top casings, cracked top LCD, broken power slider. Story so far

A lot has happened in the eight months since the outbreak. This is a summary of the important events to give you an overview of the story and the situation.

=> Summary

Introduction & Situation

The Division 2 is heading back to where it all began in The Division 2 Warlords of New York, a narrative-driven expansion that brings the action from Washington D.C. to the summery streets of Lower Manhattan.

=> Introduction and Situation

Campaign

SHD Agents are being sent to Lower Manhattan in response to a recent biological attack resulting in the death of numerous civilians and SHD Agents. Your job will be to hunt down Aaron Keener who orchestrated the attack and who we believe is planning to launch future attacks.

Five main campaign missions

The renewed battle for New York unfolds across five main campaign missions, along with open-world activities and eight interconnected side missions that let Agents further interfere with Keener’s plans. Once you’ve finished those, you’ll have a new endgame to contend with, which affects not only New York but Washington, DC as well.

Map Expansion: Lower Manhattan

In contrast to Coney Island that is basically covered and part of two big missions, Lower Manhattan is a completely free roam area like Washington D.C. with all the perks, activities and collectibles that these areas usually bring. You can explore the different corners, kill hostiles and capture Control Points.

Enemy Scaling and Freedom of Choice
In The Division 2 Warlords of New York, enemy levels always scale to player level, regardless of the activity you choose. You’ll be able to explore the map and play any mission you want, whatever order you prefer since missions will be scaled according to your level, alongside the Open World. Choose your own path, agents.

Fog of War
Upon the arrival in New York, what Agents should expect is an unexplored territory where the entire world map is initially covered by Fog of War. While the Fog of War is active, question marks will appear on the world map, and it is up to you to find what’s hidden in the area. GPS navigation won’t be available until the map is explored, but once you clear the Fog of War, all markers on the world map will be revealed.

Factions of NYC

While the Rikers and Cleaners may be familiar names to the veterans of the first game, they are not quite the same factions as you might remember. In the months passed between the two games, the factions have re-organized themselves after the loss of their leaders, grown more battle-hardened and are now more tactically minded in combat. In addition to these, you will also find the occasional Last Man Battalion soldier together with the Black Tusk, as the remnants of the once-powerful mercenary group are now under Black Tusk command.

  • Rikers
  • Cleaners
  • Last Man Battalion (LMB)
  • Black Tusk
  • The Hunters

  • Peacekeepers

=> Faction Summary

New Skills & Gear

With Warlord of New York, we not only get a level cap increase to level 40, but we also get new Skills, new Exotics and other new features that are exclusive to Warlords of New York owners.

4 New Skills

You’ll be able to unlock four new Skills, including a decoy, an incendiary sticky bomb launcher, a trip-wire trap, and an explosive sticky bomb launcher. You will unlock those Skills one at a time as you defeat Keeners Rogue Agents.

New Gear

Warlords of New York will also see a large number of new exotics, named items and gear be introduced to the game.
  • 4 new Brands
  • 10 new Exotics (and all existing have been revamped)
  • 2 new weapons
  • 19 new Named Items
  • 2 new Gear Sets (and all existing have been revamp)

Exclusive Gear
While the system changes and revamps of existing Brand Sets and Gear Sets are for all players, the new Exotics, the new Brands and the new Gear Sets are exclusive to Warlords of New York. So you will not get them if you are not level 31 or higher.

Exotics
With Gear 2.0, the Exotics have been streamlined. Instead of three very complex talents with a lot of text, they have one big talent and do that one very well. In essence, do more with less. At launch there are no Blueprints to upgrade the Exotics to level 40, the goal is to farm them again for now.

Full Gear Dyes

Up until now, the Gear Dyes that you picked up, only applied to about a third of your gear. They changed some aspects, but only to a point. Sometimes it would fit but when you would apply a white dye, it should also change the whole backpack into a white color.
So now with this update, they will add Full Gear Dyes – so if you want to walk around in a completely white look, you can do that now.

New Character Heads

When you create a new character, with TU8 / Warlords of New York, you can select from new heads and those are basically the heads from Division 1. So you can essentially recreate your Division 1 agent in Division 2.

=> Summary

A New Cohesive End-game Experience

A major focus during the development of Warlords of New York was to create a cohesive end-game experience with clear goals after having reached Level 40. A number of features will come together to shape this new end-game experience, including SHD Levels, Legendary difficulty, Seasons and more.

Level 40

Your adventures in New York require an upgrade to your firepower, which is why in The Division 2 Warlords of New York, players will be able to increase their Level from 30 to 40 and are presented with our new end-game. Gear Score, a term our veteran players know, will no longer be the way to measure how powerful your agent will be once you venture into Lower Manhattan.

Gear Score 515

Players who don’t own the expansion will continue to protect Washington D.C. in World Tier 5, at Level 30 and an increased 515 Gear Score. So there is also new power to gain. They won’t be able to join New York players or Level 40 agents in the Level 40 Washington D.C or New York activities, but will still share public spaces such as Settlements or the Base of Operation.

Coop level 30 and level 40

If you are playing content in Washington D.C., level 30 and level 40 players can play together, there are no restrictions. If a level 30 and a level 40 agents play together, the lower player get a base armor, health and weapon damage buff to be able to participate in level 40 activities. Higher-level players cannot participate in lower-level activities.
The Raid will have a level 30 and a level 40 version, currently, it has not been defined how exactly it will work there.

SHD Levels

A new infinite progression system unlocks points to improve your agent on a regular basis. Once you hit level 40 – the new level cap – the SHD Levels replace the old Field Proficiency system. Instead of earning a cache with loot, you now have the opportunity to invest points into one of four distinct Core Attribute categories that give your agent a permanent upgrade.

Heroic Difficulty for the other Factions

Heroic difficulty missions will no longer be exclusive to Black Tusk, and all factions will be available in Heroic difficulty. So you can play Roosevelt Island against the Outcasts on Heroic.

Legendary Difficulty

The new Legendary difficulty will become available to Level 40 agents and it is The Division 2’s pinnacle difficulty. While the raid was all about puzzles, coordination and teamwork, Legendary Difficulty is designed to test how good players are at every aspect of combat. A new, elite sub-faction of the Black Tusk will be sure to keep you on your toes through a new legendary AI.

Directives

Directives allow you to activate gameplay modifiers on main missions, side missions, and open-world activities; increasing the overall difficulty and granting you additional XP. You will be able to activate up to 5 directives, scaling up the XP reward multiplier for each active directive. As seasonal XP is gained by all activities that yield XP, activating directives will also boost your seasonal XP gain. Keep in mind, directives only give more XP, the difficulty decides how good the loot is.
The Raid will not be affected by the Directives.

Global Difficulty

You can select from normal to Heroic Global Difficulty and every time you change that difficulty, the map is reset – including Control Points. When that is not enough – directives can be applied on top of that. Both Global Difficulty and Directives affect every activity you can do in the Open World – Control Points, Supply Drops or Hostage Situations. Of course, get rewards and loot that reflects that difficulty. Also – as shown in the screenshots – activating more directives gives you up to 125% more XP while doing activities.
The Raid will not be affected by the Global Difficulty.

=> Summary

Seasons

Seasons is a key aspect of the new end-game experience.
Each Season is 12 weeks long, a season will task you to hunt down manhunt targets and earn unique rewards in the process. Seasons will become available for all players when reaching Level 40, allowing you to earn a new skill mod and unique seasonal gear and cosmetics by progressing through the seasonal level system.
While participating in Seasonal events will yield additional Season XP, all in-game activities will reward Seasonal XP, allowing you to progress through the seasonal track while engaging in the activities of your choosing.

As a top-level overview, a season is a calendar of in-game activities that ensures that you will have new activities to participate in on a weekly basis. In a nutshell, these activities can be categorized into:
  • Seasonal Manhunt Targets
  • Reimagined Global Events
  • Leagues
  • Apparel Events
  • Season Events

=> Summary

Title Update 8

Warlords of New York expansion will be accompanied by the FREE Title Update 8 for all The Division 2 players on March 3rd. We have been hard at work reworking a number of core areas of the game while also keeping both Washington D.C’s end-game and the new, level 40 New York City end-game in mind. A lot of these changes have been heavily influenced by community feedback we’ve received since launch.

Dark Zone

There will be no new Dark Zone in the Warlords of New York expansion. All these changes apply to the existing Dark Zones in Washington D.C.

Dark Zone Rework

With TU8, the Dark Zones get a general overhaul that tunes them into places for players that are ready to face the challenge of another player. So if you are a player that is ready to fight other players and has no issue with the lawlessness of the Dark Zone, then this new and revamped Dark Zone is made for you.

Overview
  • Player Count is still 12
  • VOIP on by default
  • No Signature Ammo
  • More Ammo Crates
  • Clean loot is gone
  • More Extraction Zones
  • Grey rogue status is removed
  • Faster Rogue toggle
  • New Dark Zone Perks
  • Occupied Dark Zone becomes Invaded Dark Zone
  • Same Rules for all Dark Zones

=> Summary

Gear 2.0

Introduction

With Title Update 8, Gear 2.0 gets introduced to the game. It is a major rework of the whole gear game and how you build your character.

Gear 2.0 Overview
  • Reworked brand set bonuses to better fit common playstyles
  • Return of the so-called” God Roll”, allowing items to potentially drop with maxed out attributes in all areas
  • Core attributes for all items
  • Improved UI to at a glance identify the quality of an item
  • More powerful, build-defining talents
    • Talent requirement has been removed
  • Gearsets and Exotics revamp
  • Mod slots have been redistributed and are now linked to specific gear slots
  • & more…

Core Changes

These are the changes with the most impact on the Gear System

No Budget System
  • With the Gear 2.0, they remove the budget system from the items.
  • All the bars and every stat of an item can roll max at the same time (the god rolls are back)
  • That makes it easier to understand and judge, if an item is good or not in terms of rolls.
  • That should also give you a satisfying progression.

Core Attributes
The Core Attributes are something new that gets added to the items and they are similar to the Firearms / Stamina / Electronics system that we had in The Division 1.

=> Equipment Summary

Talent Changes

These are the changes to the Talents on your gear, where you can find them and their purpose in your build.

Powerful Talents
In Gear 2.0 the Talents have a different role than before.

  • Build defining talents – they should be impactful when you equip them.
  • Amplify your stats – for example, “increases weapon damage by 10%”.
  • No requirements – there will no requirements to activate a talent.
  • Fewer active Talents at the same time, but more powerful.
  • Regular Talents can be found on Chest and Backpack, no other normal items have Talents on them.

Talent Group Synergies
One of the goals of the Talent rework is to put more focus on group synergies and not just on buffs for the specific player. The new talents also have the goal to promote designated roles in the group, so that you can specialize in a healer or a tank and still pull your weight in the group.

Solo vs. Group
Gear 2.0 has a lot more group synergies and buffs because that is what the old system was missing. But that does not mean, that there are no specific solo Talents.

=>Talent Summary

New Brand Bonuses

They’ve looked at all the stats from the different Gear Brands and made the following changes:
  • More aligned with playstyle (they should fit better the different playstyles)
  • More combinations between the different Brands
  • Low popularity Brands revitalized with new attributes to make them more interesting.
Each brand matches a profile – offensive, defensive, utility – and that defines the type of Core Attribute and the Mod Slots you have on an item. So if a Brand is more tuned towards damage, you will have “Weapon Damage” as Core Attribute and a red Mod Slot on it.

=> Brand Set Summary

Gear Set Revamp

All Gear Sets have been revisited and adjusted:
  • They have been reworked: The Gear Sets kept their essence but are more straight forward now.
  • They have 2, 3 and 4-Piece bonuses
  • Chest and backpack of the Gear Sets have Amplifier Talents

Amplifier Talents
When you equip chest and backpack from a Gear Set, you sacrifice two normal Gear Talents. That is why on Gear Sets you have Amplifier Talents on the chest and backpack. They basically increase the efficiency of the Gear Set by an amount.

=> Gear Set Summary

Weapons

With Gear 2.0 the weapons also get attribute bars that clearly indicate how good the weapon is rolled. Each weapon archetype has two core stats: One for weapon damage (Marksman Rifle Damage), and then the special type bonus – Headshot Damage for Marksman Rifles for example.
On the higher qualities, they have a third stat which can be a lot of the things that used to appear as handling talents - extra magazine size or rpm or any other random stat. This third role is exclusive to high-end weapons. So best case is, you find an Assault Rifle with “damage to health” (what it has per default) and “Headshot Damage) as the third attribute.
As before, it still has an Active Talent that has a deciding impact on the performance of the weapon.

=> Weapon Summary

Bonus Quality Indicators

With Gear 2.0 we also get new ways to judge an item:
  • You get stat bars for each attribute that shows you how close it is to max-roll
  • This way you can clearly see what stat is a god roll.
  • When it is max rolled, the specific stat also has an orange marker.
  • In the recalibration bench you can see the specific max values.

Gear Mods

In Gear 2.0 we still have Gear Mods, but they have also been reworked:
  • Gear Mods will only roll one stat.
  • Like the gear, the Gear Mod stats also have quality bars
  • This will help you in the sorting process when you go through your inventory.
  • Masks, chest, and backpack have mod slots.

=> Summary

Named Items

Named Items are still in the game but since only chest and backpack items have Talents – when you have a Named Item that is a glove, it will not have a talent, but one stat will be rolled better than how it would usually be allowed or sometimes even stats not normally available in that slot. This way the Named Items are still better than their normal counterparts.

=> Named Items Summary

Exotics

While the Exotics have been reworked, their basic idea stays the same.
The normal gear only has Talents on Chest and Backpack – the Exotics, for example BTSU Gloves, still come with a talent for all slots.
When you have an exotic backpack (or chest) – you also give up a regular talent – but the exotic backpack (or chest) will compensate for that.

=> Exotics Summary

Stats

  • ”Damage to Elite” is removed
  • Armor Regen without delay

Gear Conversion

With the introduction of Gear 2.0 the old equipment gets converted.
  • Named Items will still be named items after the conversion
  • Exotics and Gear Sets have been reworked and will be mapped accordingly
  • In case of Named Items, when an item no longer has a talent in Gear 2.0 (because it is not Backpack or Chest), that item will have one stat that is rolled better than how it would usually be allowed.
  • Stats that are no longer in the pool will be converted to another red, yellow and blue stat respectively and you will get a core attribute that is determined by the brand of the item. Offensive brands get weapon damage, defensive get armor, etc.
  • When a Talent is no longer available in Gear 2.0 it will be replaced with a random active talent.

Loot system Changes

Gear 2.0 also impacts the loot system:
  • In the old system you got a lot of loot and most of it was trash.
  • The goal with Gear 2.0 is, that you get slightly less loot, but the vast majority of items that you get are interesting and good.
  • So you spend less time in the inventory and when you get something it is interesting.

Difficulty = Quality

With the removal of the budget system, there are also more options for how you can earn rewards and get loot.
With Gear 2.0 the higher the difficulty you play, the higher the average quality of the dropped gear is. So when you play Heroic you get on average better rolls than when you play story mode.
You can still get that unicorn god-roll drop on any difficulty, but in general, difficulty = quality in terms of drops.

Recalibration

Introduction

The old Recalibration System was one of the reasons, why you had so much stuff in your inventory and stash. You just needed to keep so many pieces, because you may have used them to make a good item great. The goal with the new Recalibration is to clear out the clutter from your inventory and make the process more intuitive and fun.

  • Extract item talents and attributes and store them permanently in your recalibration library
  • If you find a higher roll of a stored attribute, you can replace the old stored attribute at any time
  • The UI will seamlessly indicate that you have a better roll available to store in the library
  • Stored attributes can be used indefinitely and are not used up in the recalibration process
  • Talents, stats, core stats, and mod slots will be recalibratable
  • The 1 recalibration per item limit will remain
  • & more…

Recalibration Library

The goal is, instead of storing a lot of items, you store stats. For example – when you find a high “Head Shot Damage” attribute on a mask you can extract that attribute and save it into your Recalibration Library. Once an attribute is in the Library, you can use it as many times as you want on the same item type as you got it from. (Mask in this case). Keep in mind, the level 30 and level 40 stats are separated. So you can't put stats you get from 31-40 weapons on level 30 weapons.

Crafting changes

With Title Update 8 the crafting bench no longer produces GS 500 or GS 515 items per default because a GS 515 item is a god-rolled and maxed out item and those will not be handed out on the Crafting bench.
When you craft something, it will be crafted in a range - and that applies if you own Warlords of New York Owner or not. When you upgrade the Crafting Bench to the max, you basically just filter out the lowest rolls.

Skill Power Refactorization

Overview

  • Skill Tier is replacing skill power
  • 6 Skill Tiers; each item with the Skill Tier core attribute will add one tier
  • Each tier boosts the skill’s effectiveness
  • Overcharge mechanic – Paired with gear and exotic talents, skills can now Overcharge, greatly increasing the skill’s effectiveness for a short duration
  • Skill Mods no longer have skill power requirements
  • & more…

Introduction

The “Skill Tier” Core Attribute has been introduced with Gear 2.0 and it replaces the Skill Power. With Gear 2.0 the Skills scale with Skill Tier – so the higher your Skill Tier is, the more powerful your Skills are.

Skill Tier

The Skill Tier is a Core Attribute and this is the only way you can equip Skill Tier. In total, there are 6 Skill Tiers and with each Core Attribute that is on your Agent, you upgrade it with +1 (currently all items just add +1 Skill Tier- so when all six gear slots have Skill Tier as Core Attribute, you have reached the max Skill Tier you can gear for)

Skills Scale with Skill Tiers

When you open the Skill Menu in your Inventory, you see what Skill Tier you have unlocked and therefore how powerful that Skill currently is.

Overcharge

With Gear 2.0 we not only get Skill Tiers that you can level up with your equipment, we also get the new “Overcharge” state. Overcharge is only accessible temporarily and it basically supper charges your skill with a big boost and sometimes even new abilities.
Overcharge can be reached through Talents and Exotics.

Skill Mods

Skill Mods are still in the mix, but since the main power comes from the Skill Tier, the Skill Mods have basically a similar role like Weapon Mods. They add small percent modifiers that allow you to fine-tune your Skills to your playstyle.
Skill Mods also don’t have any Skill Power Requirement anymore – so you can just keep the highest roll for each slot/attribute that you find.
Like the Gear Mods, the Skill Mods also have attribute bars, that tell you how good the item is rolled and that also gives you a clear indication, what to keep and what to throw away.

Battery Mods

The Battery Mods will be gone once Gear 2.0 drops.

Explosive Damage is no longer a Roll

Right now you can get Explosive Damage from many sources and that gives explosive Skills a big damage advantage over other Skills.
With Gear 2.0, you can only get Skill Damage from gear attributes and Skill Damage affects all Skills equally. You can still get Explosive Damage from two Brands.

Faster Skill Deployments

With Gear 2.0, we also get faster Skill Deployments for some Skills – currently, we have no specifics, what Skills are impacted by that change.

MacBook Pro 13" (10th Gen) vs XPS 13 (2020) vs Surface Laptop 3

Just finished testing my new MacBook Pro (i5-1038NG7/28W) that came in this morning, and I got very interesting results compared to the i7 variants of the XPS 13/Surface Laptop 3, which are arguably two of the best windows thin-and-light right now.
As always I'll give a TLDR first, but free feel to continue if you're interested in the technicalities.

TLDR:

13" MacBook Pro ($1799):
Dell XPS 13 (9300) ($1699):
Surface Laptop 3 ($1999):
OS aside, the 10th Gen-i5 MBP is objectively better in all major categories and is a strong recommend. For $100 more than the XPS and $100 less than the SL3, you're getting a much better overall package. If you're not in a rush, I'd recommend waiting for sales on B&H (usually $100-200 off), and Apple's back-to-school deals in the next few months.
For Artists/Designers/Video editors: It's highly recommended you get the MBP for its higher quality display (much wider color range and better color reproduction/accuracy), its 4 times faster SSD since you'll certainly be transferring lots of files back and forth with your workflow; and for its more powerful CPU<--same reasoning for coders since you'll compile code much faster on this MBP.
If you're looking for a windows laptop, or if you're someone who needs Wifi-6 for work the XPS 13 is a strong recommend since it's simply not worth paying $300 more for the 3:2 aspect ratio on the SL3 unless you can find both at similar price points, then it's really up to you which one you like better.
***Wifi-6 is NOT a must have in 2020 because:
  1. Current Wifi-5 cards will perform similarly/better than a Wifi-6 card on a 5Ghz Wifi-6 plan/router (the Wifi-6 card used in this video is the same one in the XPS 13 compared)
  2. It's still a work-in-progress and it simply isn't mature enough to recommend right now
  3. Wifi-6 also won't be widely adopted for another 3-4 years, and current good routers will cost you anywhere from $469 to over $1000 alone (not including the internet plan)
(Detailed explanation in the last section - "Why didn't Apple put in Wifi-6?")

FULL REVIEW

QUICK SPECS:
13" MBP ($1799)---XPS 13 ($1699)---Surface Laptop 3 ($1999)

PERFORMANCE:

Premiere 5 minute 4K Export (CPU):
LighRoom 75 NEF RAW to jpg Export (CPU):
Mozilla Firefox Compile Test (CPU):
PhotoShop PugetBench (CPU):
Cinebench 20 average of 5 (CPU):
Geekbench 5 average of 5 (CPU):
File-transfer test of 50GB mixed-media files (SSD):
Unigine Heaven (GPU):
3D Mark Fire Strike (GPU):
In real world programs the MBP with its higher TDP outperforms both the XPS and SL3 anywhere from 35-70% (depending on the program) in sustained workloads. Graphics wise all of them are relatively the same since the have the same GPU, and none of them are good enough to fully game on, or do any GPU heavy workflows (you can get away with Overwatch/CS:GO/LoL on low/medium settings). Both the XPS and SL3 was tested in ultra/performance mode for testing, but realistically speaking you won't be using the XPS on ultra-performance since the battery drain and fan noise/heat is not pleasant. The sweet spot would be setting both the XPS and SL3 on regular performance mode.
Thermals on all of them are great, and hover around 30 degrees idle, 40-60 degrees with medium usage, and up to 90 degrees under heavy workloads. If pushed hard enough all three will reach 100 degrees, but this is normal since that's just physics; these are expected results and there are no thermal issues in any of the three devices.
Noise levels are also great in regulamedium usage. However, under heavier workloads the fans in the XPS does get louder than both the MBP and the SL3.
DISPLAY:
The highest I hit on my XPS is 513 nits, 506 nits on my MBP, and 410 nits on the SL3. All three displays support 100% sRGB; both the XPS and MBP has a 16:10 aspect ratio, whereas the SL3 is 3:2. Which aspect ratio is better depends entirely on your usage, but any of them are an upgrade from 16:9.
For artists/designers/video editors, the MBP's display is the way to go. It has the best color reproduction/accuracy/gamut range out of the three, and it also has the highest resolution and clarity, which is a noticeable difference vs the FHD on the XPS, and the same clarity-wise as the SL3.
  1. vs XPS 88% DCI-P3 and 72% AdobeRGB
  2. vs SL3 85% DCI-P3 and 70% AdobeRGB
  1. and better Delta-E Greyscale (2.0 vs 4.5/XPS vs 2.5/SL3)
Another advantage the MBP has is its image/text scaling because MacOS does a much better job of scaling various image/text sizes. If you're an artists/designers, the MBP should be your go to laptop because of the better scaling and higher quality display, especially since you’re working with workflows that depends on color, and need to frequently re-scale images. True Tone is also useful when the ambient lighting changes in your surroundings, but for maximum color accuracy/consistency, I would recommend you to turn it off. The MBP’s display also has a better reflective coating, than the XPS and SL3.
Touchscreen/touchbar wise both aren’t too useful in my opinion. There are barely any apps that are optimized for touch, so I constantly found myself only using the touchscreen for scrolling/tapping links. Most of the time it‘s also really awkward/annoying because I have to reach further from my keyboard when I’m working—which breaks my rhythm when I can just use the trackpad which is not only closer, but is also more accurate/easier to use. If the display was closer to the track-pad like the new Magic Keyboard+iPad Pro, then the experience would be miles better since the travel distance is much closefasteless annoying, and doesn't break your rhythm when you're typing. The touchscreen is also a huge fingerprint magnet.
The touchbar is slightly better in my opinion because you can customize your keys and it’s actually useful for some workflows and programs, but the problem is that it lacks app support and it sometimes freezes/is more convenient to have physical keys.
BUILD/OTHERS:
Thickness and weight wise, all of them are about the same; you won't notice a difference using them. However, the XPS is a little more compact than the MBP and SL3, which is a nice bonus. All three are very well-built machines, but I personally prefer the Aluminum finish on the MBP and SL3 that feels more premium verses the carbon-fiber of the XPS.
Objectively, the hinge is more sturdier and better made on the MBP. There is less screen wobble, and no keyboard flex at all on the MBP, vs more screen wobble and close to no keyboard flex on the XPS and SL3. You can open all of them with one hand.
Battery life is phenomenal on all three. I got around 10 hours at 150 nits, and 6-7 hours at 300 nits.
Regarding performance when not plugged in, the XPS and SL3 can handle normal usages like browsing, streaming videos, and light photo editing without dropping in performance, but for gaming/video editing/rendering/more complicated tasks, there still is a significant drop in performance (around 25-60% depending on the program) when compared to the MBP that doesn't drop at all and stays the same without needing to be plugged in.
The track-pad and speakers on the MBP is still a tier above the XPS and SL3. Although windows' precision trackpad is great, it's still not as accurate and responsive as Apple's, nor as big. MacOS gestures also feels a lot more intuitive and smoother to use, and the user has the ability to customize them which helps a lot with productivity and convenience. The keyboard on all three of them are amazing; the MBP and SL3 are my favorites, but you can't go wrong with any of them.
In terms of port selection (all have headphone jack)
Dell still gives you the ability to swap your SSD and Wifi-card, while Apple is, well, Apple. The RAM on all of these devices are soldered on and can't be upgraded, and although Microsoft does technically give you the ability to swap SSDs... it's a lot more work, and harder to find as well.

Why didn't Apple put in Wifi-6?

Wifi-6 is NOT a must have in 2020 because:
  1. Current Wifi-5 cards will perform similarly/better than a Wifi-6 card on a 5Ghz Wifi-6 plan/router (the wifi-6 card used in this video is the same as the one on the XPS)
  2. It's still a work-in-progress and it simply isn't mature enough to recommend right now
  3. Wifi-6 also won't be widely adopted for another 3-4 years, and current good routers will cost you anywhere from $469 to over $1000 alone (not including the internet plan)
So it shouldn't be one of your main priorities unless:
  1. You need it for work (big/crowded places)
  2. You/your company has high quality Wifi-6 routers that will actually efficiently utilize Wifi-6 (It's pointless if your "Wifi-6 router" at work is an inconsistent mess--as seen with the "free" ones Comcast hands out)
  3. You upload/download massive Gigabytes of files a day to/from the web
For people who uploads consistently and needs to rendeexport/etc prior, remember, programs like adobe etc. will export 35-70% faster on the MBP because of its more powerful CPU. This is much faster than the increase in upload speeds from a Wifi-5 to Wifi-6 card (assuming both are on a Wifi-6 plan). So in this scenario, you actually save a lot more time in post-production by going with the MBP, especially since uploading also takes less time than the export/rendering process.
It's no doubt that Wifi-6 will become the standard in the future, but currently it's not worth picking the XPS over the MBP because of the Wifi-6 card alone. The speed difference is very inconsistent, sometimes even falling behind vs the current Wifi-5 card as show in the video.
You should only get it if you need Wifi-6 for your profession, but even then it still heavily depends on the router you/your company uses, and the speed difference in tasks like emailing/web-browsing/social media/streaming videos/workflows and programs that doesn't rely on your internet is unnoticeable in daily usage.
The only real concern is future proofing, but it also isn't a huge issue given that the current Wifi-6 cards performs similarly to their Wifi-5 components, meaning for Wifi-6 to actually be beneficial, OEMs will need to put in new Wifi-6 cards, or for higher-end routers to drop in price--which both will take a while. So current laptops that have Wifi-6 cards (with $200 range routers) performs more or less the same as current Wifi-5 cards, although again this depends entirely on your router since you'll definitely notice a difference if you have a more expensive Wifi-6 router, but that's also going to cost you at least an additional $470 on top of your laptop.
Furthermore, giving up all the benefits of the MBP (better performance/display/track-pad/speakers/SSD) is NOT worth the compromise for a similar Wifi experience (assuming you have a $200 router and not the expensive ones). I would've loved it if Apple included Wifi-6 now, but the reality is current Wifi-6 cards simply aren't ready yet, and the prices of higher quality routers are simply too high given their benefits.
For you to really utilize Wifi-6 you'll need to spend at least an additional $470 on a good router+higher-end internet plan, which adds up to around an additional $550-600 just for you to begin reeling in the current benefits of Wifi-6.
